Adult Progressive Care / Senior Program

The Progressive Care Unit is a 14 bed unit that provides treatment for the geriatric population, and those adult patients who have cognitive and medical impairments and would be better served on this unit. Treatment services are focused on helping patients achieve the highest level of autonomy possible while receiving the support they need to address life stressors that led to the need for hospitalization. Board Certified Psychiatrists with expertise in diagnostics and pharmacology lead the treatment team. The treatment team is experienced and qualified to help patients with issues related to self-care, caregiver compliance, activities of daily living, and behavioral issues complicated by physical issues. Patients attend daily group therapy sessions, educational, recreational and leisure groups that allow opportunities for self-evaluation of behaviors and improvements in self esteem and life skills.
