Summary of Treatment Services for All Inpatient Care
Patients are seen routinely by their attending psychiatrist or practitioner and are monitored 24 hours per day by qualified nursing staff and behavioral health technicians. Master’s level clinicians lead daily group therapy sessions, including process group and psycho-educational groups. Individual case management and family therapy are also provided.
The program operates within a structured therapeutic milieu. Daily goals groups, activity therapy groups, and wrap up groups provide structured opportunities to acquire new coping skills and to reinforce those skills with feedback from staff and peers. The multidisciplinary team plans treatment and coordinates discharge plans for patients to include aftercare services that meet each patient’s needs.

Adult Chemical Dependency & Detoxification
The Adult Chemical Dependency Unit is a 24-bed unit specializing in treating chemical dependency and related behavioral disorders in adults. Treatment services utilize the Minnesota Model 12 step approach and focus on bio-psycho-social stabilization. Education is a vital component of recovery and patients are involved in 3 to 4 hours of education daily. Attendance and participation in Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are a daily part of the program. The treatment team is dedicated to the recovery of patients and addressing issues related to abuse, trauma, family dynamics, and dual diagnoses. Patients are involved in writing and presenting their life story as part of the group process. The staff believes that chemical dependency is a chronic, recurrent, and fatal disease that also affects the family of the patient and as a result requires their involvement in treatment as well.
