NURSING | PATIENT CARE TRANSPORTER

REPORTS TO:  DIRECTOR OF NURSES

POSITION SUMMARY:              

Provides supportive and empathetic care to patients consistent with the mission and vision of Red River Hospital.  The Patient Care Transporter conducts transportation to off-site medical and psychiatric appointments for patients; maintains safe transportation practices in accordance with regulatory standards; performs daily transportation duties as required.  Occasional overnight transports.  Candidate must maintain a valid state driver’s license, with good driving record.  Transporter must maintain valid certification for CPR and CPI, and First Aid training, and Driver Safety Training; all training provided by Red River Hospital.

EDUCATION:

High School Graduate or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:                              

Patient care/healthcare experience; to include customer service skills.  Experience driving in metropolitan area traffic and airport environs REQUIRED.
