As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventative measures we have put in place at Red River Hospital to keep our patients, their families, and our employees safe. All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, on-site visitation is no longer allowed at Red River Hospital.

  • This restriction has been implemented in compliance with updated corporate and state regulations to further reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
  • We are offering visitation through telehealth services so that our patients can remain connected to their loved ones.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services are being vetted and may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

  • All staff has received infection prevention and control training.
  • Thorough disinfection and hygiene guidance has been provided.
  • Patient care supplies such as masks and hand sanitizer are being monitored and utilized.
  • Temperature and symptom screening protocols are in place for all patients and staff.
  • Social distancing strategies have been implemented to ensure that patients and staff maintain proper distance from one another at all times.
  • Cleaning service contracts have been reviewed for additional support.
  • Personal protective equipment items are routinely checked to ensure proper and secure storage.
  • CDC informational posters are on display to provide important reminders on proper infection prevention procedures.
  • We are in communication with our local health department to receive important community-specific updates.

The CDC has provided a list of easy tips that can help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then immediately dispose of the tissue.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces that are frequently touched.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.

Our Programs

The Red River Hospital team understands the difficult time you are going through, and we strive to provide the best quality of care to each individual that passes though our doors.

For Children and Adolescents

Our caring and compassionate staff are dedicated to providing our younger patients with the highest quality of care in the safest and most comfortable environment possible. We treat children and adolescents who are struggling with a number of different acute psychiatric disorders and concerns, and we also offer a positive reinforcement behavioral level system which provides additional structure and rewards for our youth patients.

For Adults

Our Adult Behavioral Health Unit is a 22-bed unit specializing in treating adults ages 18 and up who are struggling with psychiatric concerns and/or substance abuse issues. The treatment services we provide on this unit are focused on helping patients develop the necessary coping skills to deal with the stressors that led to the need for hospitalization.

For Older Adults and Seniors

At Red River Hospital, we offer our geriatric patients specialized programming through our Progressive Care Unit, designed to provide care for older adults whose recovery needs are impacted by limited mobility, cognitive impairments, and/or medical concerns. The treatment services on this unit are focused on helping patients achieve the highest level of autonomy possible, while providing the support they need to address the challenges that led to their need for hospitalization.

For Military Heroes

Our Military Resiliency Unit, or MRU, is a dynamic and highly effective environment in which active-duty members of the armed forces, veterans, and certain adult dependents can receive focused care for a wide range of additional mental and behavioral health concerns. Men and women who heal in the MHU receive evidence-based, research-supported treatment provided by compassionate professionals who have experience working with members of the military and place a premium on acceptance, support, and respect.
