Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Treatment Program

Red River Hospital is the leading provider of inpatient and outpatient behavioral healthcare in Wichita Falls, TX. Our treatment services & specialized programs address drug and alcohol addiction and co-occurring mental illness.

In addition to our inpatient services, we provide two additional levels of care including a partial hospitalization program and an intensive outpatient program, called Pathways. The Pathways programs are designed to assist patients with a smooth transition from hospitalization to outpatient services. Or, when inpatient care is not required, patients can begin the therapeutic process directly in one of these programs.

Separated into two different tracks, one for mental health and one for substance abuse, our partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers 6 hours of treatment daily, and the intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers 3-4 hours of treatment daily, depending on a patient’s needs. When people are referred to one of these two programs, they are not in need of 24-hour nursing care or crisis stabilization, yet do require involvement in structured daily treatment in order to decrease symptoms and improve overall functioning. On-site therapy, supervised medication management, and coping skills training are all offered as part of these programs.
